The Old Church, Byron Bay.

Our annual Blake family retreat, three days away together with everyone. Heather, Thom, Josh, Andrew and Rachael, Julian, Sam and Mia, Eli, Rosie, Luke and me. To the beautiful Old Church at Byron Bay, well 12 mins inland actually off the highway in a tiny town called Newrybar.

We ate and slept and played ping-pong and ate some more. We visisted the Macadamia Castle and the Bengalow Markets and the Byron Bay lighthouse. We all had a great time. Especially dressing up and acting out a "Murder Mystery". There were not enough females to fill the female parts so Sam and Luke had to be women. Luke was the maid. Very funny.

We walked down to the main street [the only street in the town really] to a beautiful cafe "Harvest" and enjoyed looking through a well stocked Antique shop. The sign out the front gave us a laugh, and so a picture was taken, see below.

A really great trip and far far too short. But to get away and sit on the sand and smell the salt water was great for every fibre of my being. I love Byron, it is full of great memories of camping at The First Sun Caravan Park when Luke and I were 19 as well as the of the fun and laughter of YouthWorx camps. Those hippies really are onto something.
