A Goodnight Lullabye.

Each night for the last five years or so I have sung the same song to my children.
The same song that was sung to me.

We have dabbled with "You are my Sunshine"
and "Rainbow Connection",
"Somewhere over the Rainbow"
and Luke does a great "Kumbaya"

But nothing hits the spot like
Rockin' Rollin' Ridin'.

 Rockin' Rollin' Ridin',
out along the bay,
all bound for morning town,
many miles away.

Driver at the engine,
fireman rings a bell,
sandman swings a lantern,
to show that all is well.

Somewhere there is sunshine,
somewhere there is rain,
somewhere there is morning town,
many miles away.

Train whistle blowin',
makes a sleepy noise,
underneath the blankets,
for all the girls and boys.

Rockin' Rollin' Ridin',
out along the bay,
all bound for morning town,
many miles away.
